About Tom King...

A Current NRA Board Member re-nominated by NRA Nominating Committee, Tom is an NRA Benefactor Member and a Golden Eagle.

Tom has been endorsed by the New York State Rifle and Pistol Association (NYSRPA) as well as the Fifty Caliber Institute (FCI). He also serves as President and Political Liaison of NYSRPA and works daily with NRA's Institute for legislative Action (NRA-ILA). The New York State Rifle & Pistol Association was chosen as the 2006 NRA-ILA Volunteer Organization of the Year.

Tom is an experienced lobbyist, political consultant and media spokesman/debater - a vigorous, no compromise advocate for the Right to Keep and Bear Arms. defending the Second Amendment on national media outlets such as Fox & Friends, The Lerher Report, The Leonard Lopate Show, National Public Radio and the Wall Street Journal. He successfully opposed Clinton gun ban tactics, pistol license renewals, rationing and waiting period schemes and worked to help pass lawsuit protection for firearms manufacturers.

Tom regularly confronts and debunks prominent anti gunners such as the Sarah Brady Campaign, Michael Bloomberg, Hillary Clinton and exposed antigun Senator Charles Schumer's scam to portray himself as a "Friend of the Second Amendment". He's a strong supporter of women's and junior shooting programs and successfully worked to overturn a long-standing New York State ban on training pistol marksmanship to 14-to-21 year olds. Tom organized a grassroots email alert system that has frequently called thousands of shooters to action and successfully opposed an attempt to ban shooting events at the New York Empire State Games.

Tom is a lifelong hunter and competitive shooter. He currently serves on three NRA Committees.
